Despite narrowly missing the stage win, van Gisbergen spent more laps inside the top ten than any other driver in the field on Sunday, a testament to his consistent pace. Crucially, he led an astonishing 49 laps, utterly obliterating his previous personal best on an oval, which stood at 12 laps.
