Former Wallaroo Mines Primary School principal Tamarin Condon has been fully cleared of all misconduct allegations following a comprehensive investigation by South Australia's Department for Education.

Ms Condon was stood down from her post in Kadina last November after an online petition emerged calling for an immediate review of her leadership and raising concerns over alleged unprofessional conduct.

School Camp Controversy

The initial suspension followed reports that Ms Condon had invited her husband, Simon Condon, to assist during a school camp. While Mr Condon had previously worked as a student support officer, he was not employed by the school at the time of the event.

As part of the fact-finding process, department officials spoke with students who attended the trip. Local law enforcement confirmed they were briefed on the matter at the time, but South Australia Police maintained that no criminal investigation was warranted, referring the matter entirely to education authorities.

Department Concludes Investigation

In a formal statement, a Department for Education spokesperson confirmed that the internal review has concluded with no findings of wrongdoing.

"The Department for Education has concluded its investigation. No misconduct was identified," the spokesperson stated, adding that a new principal has since been appointed to lead Wallaroo Mines Primary School. Officials declined to provide further details regarding specific lines of inquiry, citing privacy policies.

Legal Counsel Welcomes Outcome

Representing Ms Condon, lawyer Luke Officer welcomed the exoneration and emphasized the importance of due process over public speculation.

"Allegations are only that until they are otherwise proven," Mr Officer said. "Investigations into allegations must proceed without unhelpful public commentary that can damage reputations unnecessarily and without justification."

Mr Officer added that his client is relieved to have the matter formally closed and is eager to move forward with her professional life.
