A unique event has taken place in the Flinders Ranges, where over 30 horses joined passengers on a historic steam train ride. The Pichi Richi Railway, a volunteer-run heritage railway based in Quorn, hosted the special event, which has become an every-two-year occurrence.
A rare and special experience
The horse passengers were accompanied by their owners, who organised the event through social connections. Jenni Reschke, one of the event organisers, said she initially reached out to friends to gauge interest in the ride.
