Mystery Surrounds Disappearance of 200 Cattle from Outback Station

Police are investigating the disappearance of 212 head of cattle from a property in outback New South Wales, with inquiries in the early stages.

The cattle, valued between $500,000 and $1 million, were reported missing on September 6, but police believe they may have gone missing between March and August.

Investigation Underway

Rural Crime Prevention Team Detective Chief Inspector Cameron Whiteside said the cattle had been on agistment and were not reported missing until after they were returned to their owners north of Broken Hill.
