AFL trade period has come to a close, with several major deals going through on the final day. Ben King has completed a move to Hawthorn as a free agent, after Gold Coast opted not to match the Hawks' contract offer.

In a mega-deal involving five clubs, Port Adelaide, Bulldogs, Melbourne, Carlton, and Hawthorn were all involved, with Finn Maginness, Hudson O'Keeffe, and many draft picks changing hands. Zak Butters has moved to the Western Bulldogs, with Port Adelaide receiving pick five in free agency compensation.

Sam Marshall has completed a move to St Kilda, with the Saints sending a 2027 first-round pick and pick 41 to the Lions. In other news, Nick Blakey has nominated North Melbourne as his preferred destination, after being offered a reported $11 million contract from the Kangaroos.
